Regeneration is probably best to use in it's extended form, for regen 1 lasts for only :45, and regen 2 lasts only :16. Regeneration: A very useful potion, goes great with strength. To make a splash potion, you just add gunpowder to the end of the potion recipe. That adding on to the other benefits of the strength potion, it's very hard to stop. Strength Splash: No matter what form, strength 1, strength 2, or strength extended, this is great for massive rushes. It also costs 34 gold, and is also very much worth it. The recipe is: Water bottle->Nether wart->Blaze powder->Glowstone It, just like strength extended, looks just like strength 1. (It only lasts 1:30.) It adds 260% attack damage to every kill, which is double strength extended and strength 1. It's useful for big rushes with a lot of people, but not for ones that you plan to be there for a very long time due to it's short time. Strength 2: A very powerful version of strength 1. It costs 34 gold, but is definitely worth it. The recipe is: Water bottle->Nether wart->Blaze powder->Redstone It looks just like strength 1. It adds 130% attack damage, just like strength 1. It's very, very useful for long rushes, farming kills, and taking out mid bases.
Strength Extended: A longer version of strength 1, that lasts 8 minutes. But, if you do want to make it, here's the recipe: Water bottle->Nether wart->Blaze Powder It also looks like this: It costs 31 gold, which is only 3 gold cheaper than it's other forms, which I would say you probably should use instead of strength 1. I would not advise using this, for you could just make strength 2 or strength extended for a little more gold. It's quick and easy to make, but that's about it.
Strength: Not str2, the 3 minute strength potion that is almost never used. But there are so many pots to brew, and how do you know when to use them? And what types of pots should we use? This is a guide for every potion you could ask for, and how to use them.
